It is with immeasurable sadness and heavy hearts that we mourn the passing of Victoria Michaela Hope Carrick, who died on the night of February 1st, 2026, in Ontario, Canada. Victoria’s loss is profound, and her absence is felt deeply by all who knew and loved her. She was taken far too soon after a long, courageous battle with mental health—one she faced with remarkable honesty, sensitivity, and strength.
Victoria—affectionately known as Teta, Nanny Vic, and “mini me”—was the cherished daughter of Simon Carrick and Sonja Stantic, a loving sister to Natallie West (Adam), Sarah Forletta (Ryan), and Jensen Carrick, and a deeply devoted aunt to her adored nephews, Ricky and Rhemy Rever. Her fur babies, Mila and Gracie Lou (and Milo), were the recipients of her endless affection and will miss her comforting snuggles beyond measure.
To know Victoria was to experience kindness in its truest form. She was an absolute blessing to everyone whose life she touched—family, friends, coworkers, clients, students, and countless members of the community. Wherever she went, Victoria left behind pieces of love, hope, and compassion. She had a rare ability to make people feel seen and cared for, offering warmth and understanding even when she herself was hurting.
Victoria’s soul was soft, but her fight was fierce. Those who were lucky enough to share life with her also knew the depth of the darkness she carried. She lived with great empathy and openness, bravely navigating challenges that many never fully saw. Her strength was quiet but unwavering, and her love—constant and generous.
Though our hearts ache with her loss, we find comfort in imagining Victoria now surrounded by light and peace—reunited with Milo and her predeceased grandparents, whom she missed so dearly. May she finally know rest, free from pain, and embraced by the love she gave so freely in this life.
