It is with broken hearts and profound sorrow that we mourn the passing of Jasmine Clark, a beautiful 14-year-old from Peterborough, Ontario, whose life ended far too soon after a sudden and devastating medical emergency. Jasmine’s passing has left her family, friends, and community reeling with grief, struggling to comprehend the loss of such a young and vibrant soul.
Jasmine was everything that is good and hopeful in the world. She was kind, warm, and full of light—a young girl whose presence brought comfort and joy to those around her. Those who had the privilege of knowing Jasmine speak of her gentle heart, her bright spirit, and the immense potential she carried. She had a way of making people feel welcome and cared for, simply by being herself.
Following a sudden and severe medical emergency, Jasmine was placed on life support at SickKids Hospital after complications related to asthma and a serious respiratory event led to cardiac arrest. Despite the tireless efforts of medical professionals and the unwavering love and hope surrounding her, Jasmine passed away, leaving behind an unimaginable void.
She is deeply loved and mourned by her parents, Josh and Tasha, her sister Autumn, and her extended family, who meant everything to her. This family has always leaned on one another through life’s challenges, and now they face the most painful loss a family can endure—the loss of a child, a sister, a daughter whose life had only just begun.
As Jasmine’s family navigates this devastating time, they are also carrying the heavy burden of unexpected expenses, lost income, and the emotional toll of prolonged hospital care and loss. The community has come together in love and compassion, offering prayers, support, and assistance to help ease the weight placed on her loved ones’ shoulders.
Jasmine will be remembered for her kindness, her warmth, and the love she gave so freely. Though her life was tragically short, the impact she made was deep and lasting. Her memory will live on in the hearts of all who loved her—in quiet moments, shared memories, and the enduring bond of family.
We ask that you continue to keep Josh, Tasha, and Autumn in your thoughts and prayers during this incredibly painful time. May they find strength in one another, comfort in community, and peace in knowing how deeply Jasmine was loved.
Rest gently, Jasmine. You were precious, you mattered, and you will never be forgotten.
